Thank you for showing an interest in CYO sports at St. Columbkille. Throughout the year, the sports listed below are available for all school, parish, and neighborhood students. St. Columbkille will usually field a full team, but if that isn’t possible, the Athletic Director will work with coaches and surrounding area ADs to make sure each student is placed on a team. During each season, the Athletic Boosters organizes a Sunday Mass / Donut social as well as pep rallies inside the school.

The Athletic Boosters is a volunteer organization, relying on parent and community volunteers. All ideas and talents are welcome and if interested about positions or running for a position, please contact us and /or attend one of the upcoming monthly meetings. Volunteer positions include (but not limited to): Athletic Director, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Equipment Manager, Gym Scheduler, Knight at the Races/Fundraising Chair, Concession Stand Manager, Site Director, and Sports Commissioners. Booster Board Nominations usually occur at the end of the school year around February – April during Athletic Booster General Meetings.
The students also rely on volunteers to be their Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
If you are interested in volunteering to coach, please reach out to us as this needs to be arranged before a given sports season begins. You do not need to be a parent to coach; community volunteers are welcome! There are easy to fulfill requirements needed for coaching:
1) VIRTUS Training
2) Background Check
3) CYO Coaches Development Program.
Under Important Links below you will find detailed information by clicking on “Requirements to Coach”.
Cost for playing is based on CYO costs and participation fees will vary by sport.
The Athletic Boosters organizes Knight at the Races each year to help cover additional costs like uniforms, tournament fees, gym rental fees, sports equipment, and celebrations/recognitions. Knight at the Races takes place at the beginning of November and is a great (k)night out! It’s also a fun event to work or help plan (hint hint). We hope to see you there!
Athletic Booster Meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Topics include current and upcoming CYO sports seasons and planning for this, along with general topics regarding the athletic programs at St. Columbkille. If you would like to be added to our email list, please email the Booster President at scsathleticpresident@gmail.com.

Support the St. Columbkille Athletic Boosters by enjoying a night of fun! This annual event is held on a Saturday night in November. Ticket prices include food, dessert, beer/seltzers, and soda. Outside food and beverages is allowed. Other entertainment includes raffle baskets, sideboards, 50/50, and horse races. Money raised helps keep costs low for individual students as it covers items such as gym rentals, sports equipment, uniforms, officiants, and tournament fees.

Our school mission is to develop our students to live their lives as a Witness to Jesus. We believe our school exists to teach the mandate of Jesus: "Love one another as I have loved you."
We believe that we share the vision of Jesus within an atmosphere designed to celebrate and practice the love of God and neighbor. We motivate students to grow academically, culturally, and socially. Jesus remains with the community He formed, and we are privileged to witness and share that Presence.
